Moving a crosshair across the sky to launch a counter-missile strike was very appropriate for the political atmosphere of the early 80s. This was Atari’s huge arcade hit and an instant classic later ported to countless gaming consoles.
As with all Atari games of that period, Missile Command has a unique pinout. While the original game uses a trackball, the adapter has an on board micro-controller based trackball emulation layer so the game can be played with a standard JAMMA joystick.
This adapter follows the following pinout scheme:
|SOLDER SIDE||PARTS SIDE|
(PCB edge connector facing away, list is ordered right to left)
Note: JAMMA button 4 controls the speed of the crosshairs when using the joystick.
This is the list of compatible games that can be used with this adapter:
The adapter has been tested with a genuine version of Atari Missile Command.
Important: This adapter connects only to the 44 pin edge connector on the PCB.

Rev 1.1: Changes to correct reversed button order. This is the currently available version.
