Description
Allows you to use your Konami pre-JAMMA game, in a JAMMA cabinet or a super gun device.
There are many games that share this pinout. Konami produced many successful games during the 1980s, and most of these used the same pinout with some small variations.
One of these variations includes the requirement for a -5V supply. Some Konami games will not run properly with the -5V rail present, others require it to function properly. Other games change the controls by swapping joysticks for a set of buttons as is the case with Konami sports games such as Hyper Olympic and Hyper Sports.
For these games the adapter includes a set of jumpers to allow the -5V rail to be present at the PCB connector, and allows button remapping so that games such as Hyper Olympic and Hyper Sports can be playable in a 2 player JAMMA cabinet. Games such as Gyruss that have stereo sound also work correctly with this adapter.
