Allows you to use your original Midway Space Invaders or Space Invaders Deluxe board in a JAMMA cabinet or a super gun device.
Space Invaders was one of the most popular and historically important games of the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was originally developed by Taito of Japan and licensed to Midway for distribution in North America. The game originally used a black and white, TV type monitor, feeding it a composite signal. Interestingly, the Taito and the Midway versions use a completely different PCB, and are not pinout compatible.
This adapter will only convert the Midway licensed, North American, Space Invaders and Space Invaders Deluxe boards.
The adapter contains a power-on reset circuit (POR), a composite to RGB video converter, and a micro-controller driven, switchable virtual color overlay that simulates the original cellophane overlay used to add color bands to the original black and white display.
This adapter follows the following pinout scheme:

Midway Space invader games have the same logic board edge connector pinout, but the sound / control board pinouts vary depending on whether the game is a regular Space Invades or a Space Invaders Deluxe.
Power Connector (11 / 14 / 16 pin)
Note: Only 11 pins are wired on the adapter. For PCBs that have 14 or 16 pin connector, line up pin 1-11, leaving pins 12 onward unused.
Control Connector (8 / 13 pin)
Note: This adapter uses 12 pins. For PCBs that have 8 or 13 pin connector, line up pin 1-8 or 1-12, leaving pin 9-12 or pin 13 unused.
