Data East to JAMMA Adapter

Description

Allows you to use your Data East classic pre-JAMMA game, in a JAMMA cabinet or a super gun device.

Data East has has some limited success in arcades in the early 80s with games like Karate Champ and Bump ‘n’ Jump. While they produced and released some arcade games themselves, there are a number of Data East published games that they had licensed from other manufacturers (mainly Irem), and games have been been developed by Data East and published by other companies.

As a result, just because your board has the DECO sticker on it, it doesn’t mean that is has the Data East pinout. A lot of their hits are on other hardware with a different pinout.

The number of games in the Data East conversion class is actually pretty limited. The good news is that the pinout used by this hardware remained unchanged throughout the years.
